First of all, I want to thank Kazzie, Rocza, Serafine, Whyagain for helping me to validate stories and keep things going in my absence. They've been a lot of help. I've rented a laptop for now, so I can continue to make improvements to the archive as we go. I am in the process of getting everything that I managed to save transferred and or installed here. (Right now, I'm still looking for my Dreamweaver.)
A couple of people have contacted me with log in problems or other bugs. I'm working on them. If you are have any problems, drop me a line, I can only fix it if I know about it.
I know a lot of you feel disgruntled and have been alienated by the downtime and changes, and I am doing my best to rectify that and make it up to you. This site is a huge priority for me, and I do it for all of you. I want it to be a site that you enjoy and continue to visit. Let me know what you need to make that possible.

| My laptop is dead |
|
I've been having problems lately with the laptop that I was given in January, and despite all that I tried to do, it died last night. A friend of my helped me to move some of my files (such as the Helio files I have been working on) off to an external harddrive last night with a LINUX disk, and then we attempted to reformat and reinstall windows. We were unsuccessful, and eventually the computer stopped responding at all. I am hoping that the harddrive is the only problem and that I may be able to replace it soon, but there are no guarantees, and money is even tighter than usual until my husband goes back to work in August.
All of this means that I am without a computer for the forseeable future. I may be able to get on-line occasionally at the college, as I am now, to check my mail and such, but there is no guarantee of when. I'll keep an eye out for messages here for the next six hours or so, and then I am to the VA tomorrow, and may be able to check back for a few minutes on Friday.
This means that any corrections, communications or validations are also delayed indefinitely, as I don't have reliable enough access, though I will do what I can when I can spend a few hours in town. There are a few ladies who have helped me out with validations that I am going to try to contact to see if they can pick up the slack while I get this sorted out. I apologise to anyone that this inconveniences.

Archives have been reopened for submissions. For more information, click read more below, or check the news items on the front page of each of the archives.
Thank you for everyone who donated in May for the donation drive. I'll be catching up on my correspondance shortly. I've spent the whole month getting the archive functional again, and while I'm not completely done, it is great to have it reopened and available to you, and to feel like I can breathe again.
I'm very happy to announce that we raised 86% of our hosting costs for the coming year through the donation drive. You guys rock. For those who emailed me this weekend, yes, you can still donate through the end of this month, if you wish, or any time of the year. I am thinking of hosting future challenges through the site with Amazon gift certificates as prizes. Keep an eye out for more info in coming weeks.
