Bio:

I'm currently writing fan fic both because I love the characters of SG-1, and because I'm trying to improve my writing style.  If you read my stories, please consider leaving feedback, especially if it's constructive.

I like to read and write stories based around the character of Daniel Jackson.  I tend to write the Sam/Daniel pairing, but will happily read other Daniel pairings if they are done well, as well as team friendship fics.  I also tend to be a bit of a Daniel-whumper, much to my beta's chagrin.

I've written a short, quite adult fic named Image with a Sam/Daniel pairing.  You can find it here.  My thanks to the person who nominated it for the 2008 Blue Moon Stargate SG-1 Fan Awards Program, which is a fan awards contest for adult fics.  Go check out the awards and vote for your favourite stories.

My thanks, as always, go to my beta, Amaranth Traces.

I was just rereading this as it had been a while.  I can't believe I haven't reviewed it before, although maybe I did on some other forum.

This is absolutely beautiful.  It flows perfectly, it captures Sam's fears and love and character smoothly, the ending has just a touch of passion and humour, and the imagery is wonderful.

It's one of my favourite fics.  Congratulations and great job.

That was beautiful.  A very nice look at both Daniel's grief after Forever and a Day, and at his friendship with Jack.  It also explains Daniel's actions in Past and Present much more satisfactorily than just a changed episode production schedule.
I loved Daniel cupping Teal'c's cheek at the funeral.
Well done.

That was entertaining.  And well deserved.  Nicely done.

Author's Response: Thank you. I'm glad you liked it.

That was a nice look at Sam and Daniel's friendship, and at the pain and bitterness the Tollans and Jack's forced betrayal must have left for the team.  The characterizations were solid.  Daniel's desire to surprise Sam for her birthday, and his unwillingness to 'cheat' on his puzzle were great.
Nicely done.

Author's Response: Now that reviewer response is up again, I can finally thank you for the lovely feedback. I love Sam and Daniel's friendship, and I'm glad it rang so clear for you! And yes, Daniel's determination to struggle through figuring it out himself instead of "cheating" was one of my personal favorite bits, too. :)

This was a nice AU look at what could have been Daniel's family.  I liked the different personalities each of his sisters had, and you portrayed both his and his mother's difficulties coming to terms with the situation very well.

I have a hard time believing that Daniel and Maria would so easily leave Sarah and Maria's father behind, especially with Jacob along and the Tok'ra already involved.

Your portrayal of the canon characters was very good, especially Daniel's pain over losing Sha're, and Jack's attempts to help and comfort him.  Their bantering was well done.

I had a few nitpicky things like the DNA test being called a paternity test when it clearly wasn't, and a few phrasings that sounded too British for SG-1, but all in all it was an enjoyable story.  Well done.

Shows promise so far, sheryden.  You've certainly set up a depressing mood.  Keep up the good work.

I imagine it certainly does take a lot of getting used to to become Tok'ra.  I'm very fond of Jacob and Selmak and this is a nicely done character piece.  Thanks for sharing it.
